There is a long-standing misunderstanding in trading, and it sits at the very foundation of how people read charts.
Time is treated as a side detail.
Most traders focus on price first and treat time as something to consider later. That approach sounds logical, but it misses how markets actually work.
Time is the real foundation of all change. Every price move, every trend, and every shift in the market happens inside time.
Price does not exist separately from time.
Traders didn’t invent time, and markets don’t follow human convenience. You can’t bend it or redefine it to make a rule work. Markets move within time’s structure, whether traders respect it or not.
This is not a theory. It is how markets actually function. It’s a core truth that most traders, and many so-called experts, miss.
WD Gann understood this clearly. For him, time was a central factor in market movement. The price made sense because it was studied in relation to time, not separately. This principle sits at the heart of how Gann worked with time.
The mistake many traders make is using time blindly, without understanding the structure behind it. Time is not a shortcut; it is a structure.
This is not theoretical. It shows up repeatedly across different markets.
This forms the foundation of our work, and it was the same foundation Gann worked from.
All of my research and courses are built around using time wisely — not ignoring price, but working with it more clearly. When the price is aligned with time, noise reduces naturally.
Gann’s work pointed in this direction, but it requires a correct & unique interpretation and a practical system. That is what I have focused on refining and teaching through my work.
All meaningful change happens inside time.
Markets are no exception.
And where structure exists, consistency becomes possible. – Divesh
