In life, three things keep us balanced: music, logic, and meditation.
The ancients understood this well. Instead of long explanations, they used symbols. Words may change over time, but symbols remain.
Take Ganesha. His very form is a teaching.
His big belly is often seen as a symbol of acceptance—the ability to hold and digest all of life’s experiences.
The serpent around it represents energy and awareness.
Together, they remind us that true acceptance is not blind. It comes with awareness. Acceptance with awareness can transform the way we live.
In his hands, Ganesha carries a rope (pāśa) and a goad (ankush). The rope represents restraint and the ability to draw us closer to the truth. The goad guides us when we drift and brings us back to the right path.
He also holds a laddu, reminding us that wisdom is not meant to weigh us down. True knowledge brings joy, lightness, and freedom.
In some traditions, Ganesha is also shown with a manuscript, reminding us of his role as the scribe of the Mahabharata.
When we understand these symbols, life begins to take on a different meaning.
We stop getting trapped in the past or worrying about the future. We learn to accept life as a whole, stay aware, and move forward with clarity—even when everything around us is changing.
That is what true wisdom gives us: balance, joy, and awareness.
Ganesha Symbols to Market Laws
