How Market Moves Develop Before Most Traders Notice

Published On:

Most traders try to enter a move that has already begun rather than being positioned before it.

Most traders believe they missed it because the move was fast. That’s not true. The move only feels fast when you’re late.

Most traders read what the price is doing. Very few understand what price is preparing. Because of that, two traders can look at the same chart and see completely different things. One sees a sudden rally. The other sees a move that was already setting up.

The recent move in TCS is a clear example of this. Everyone saw the 5–6% move. But very few were positioned before it.

Breakouts feel sharp, moves seem unpredictable, and by the time things become clear, a large part of the move is already behind. Speed creates the illusion of randomness.

But moves like this don’t appear out of nowhere. They build quietly, in a phase most traders overlook because nothing seems to be happening.

Most traders feel confident only when there’s action. When the market is quiet, they look away. That’s exactly when the real setup is taking shape.

That’s exactly where prepared traders focus — not on what is visible right now, but on what is forming before it becomes visible.

In TCS, the timing window, direction, and entry point were all identifiable before the move began. The move didn’t come as a surprise. It came as a confirmation.

And once you’re prepared, the move no longer feels fast. No rush or panic. You already know what to do.

P.S. This approach of identifying timing, direction, and entry before a move begins will be covered in detail in my upcoming course, Timing Market Moves.
